What do I need to run Pro?
Pro downloads are available for Windows (1.3.6) and macOS Apple Silicon (1.3.1). SpiritBox Pro runs as two Docker services: the conversation app and Piper. On Windows 10/11 x64, use hardware virtualization and Docker Desktop with Linux containers and WSL2. On macOS, use an Apple Silicon Mac and Docker Desktop for Apple Silicon; WSL2 is Windows-only. Both downloads require LM Studio with a compatible local model and its server on port 1234. Model files are not included. First installation may download image and package dependencies. Windows 1.3.6 updates Guide preview controls and repeated multipart Piper replay. Actual Guide controls and repeated replay passed isolated CPU browser checks with real Piper audio. This establishes technical playback, not physical listening quality, clean-PC installation or Mac qualification. Seller-hosted buyer archive bytes have not been independently rehashed.
Windows 1.3.4 removes emphasis markers from newly synthesized Piper speech while preserving word boundaries and numeric expressions. Displayed conversation text and custom Guides are unchanged; previously saved WAV files retain their original audio.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase with no SpiritBox subscription. The regular price is $49 USD. Read the purchase terms.
How is Pro different from Basic and Ultimate?
Basic is the free starting point for local chat. Pro adds natural Piper voice output and its Guide Persona Studio. Ultimate adds a wider workstation for documents, search, automation, and connected creative workflows. Compare all editions.
Can I speak to Pro?
You type your messages, and Pro can speak its replies through Piper. Microphone input, two-way voice conversation, document memory, voice cloning and voice training are not included. Intel Mac support is not offered.
